GREATER FIRST COLONY NEWSLETTER
By Shirley Vermillion (July 2010, Vol.28, Issue 7)
A truly incredible and talented lady named Victoria Racimo lives on John Rolfe - another wonderful person that calls First Colony home!
She wrote and directed JOURNEY OF DESTINY, the original drama with music, and 55 performers including W&M Dance Dept. with the VSO that was the closing event on stage for the Jamestown 400th Anniversary. There was an outdoor audience of 24,000 people in Anniversary Park by the James River. She also has an ongoing series which Palomino (her production company palominogroup.net ) presents in conjunction with the Library, called "The Play's the Thing" live theatrical productions on stage.
She’s had an incredibly full career and has acted with great actors as Charlton Heston. On Mother’s Day, a First Colony friend and I saw her production of “Alma Mahler” and were blown away! I decided at that point to see whatever I’m able to that she produces and if I had time would recruit a full group of all ages of folks to join me! Please come out, treat yourself and bring some friends to an amazing show on Sunday, July 18 @ 3 pm at the Williamsburg Regional Library for Free! It’s part of the Library’s Centennial Celebration! (See flyer.)

(I’d love our recreation realm to include going to some events like this throughout the year!!! I know Victoria would love to see some of her First Colony neighbors in the audience!)
